Purple Lilac - Syringia vulgaris

This shrub is ideal for large hedges, providing habitat and food for birds and other wildlife.  Its fragrant, pale, purple clusters of flowers are a sign that spring is truly upon us!  Long-lived and sturdy, they will reach a mature height of 12 feet, filling in to form a dense screen to increase privacy or block unwanted views.  Plant 4-6 feet apart.
